Kyrgyzstan — Kazakhstan’s national team has made a stellar impact at the VI World Nomad Games currently underway in Kyrgyzstan, capturing the country’s first gold medals of the tournament in audaryspak (traditional horseback wrestling), as reported by Tiek.kz.

A Triumphant Start on Foreign Soil

According to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, these victories mark the delegation’s first gold medals at the ongoing international games. In a display of fierce athletic skill, both Kazakh athletes clinched their championship titles in high-stakes final bouts against the host nation’s competitors from Kyrgyzstan.

The newly crowned champions are:

  • Nurtalap Kerim (Under 63 kg): Dominating his weight class, Kerim demonstrated clear technical superiority over his opponent in the final match to secure a decisive victory and the gold medal.

  • Sailau Mukhammedjan (Under 70 kg): In a gripping and fiercely contested final, Mukhammedjan narrowly edged out his Kyrgyz rival with a score of 2:1, earning top honors and the country’s second gold of the day.
