Seoul — As part of his ongoing state visit to South Korea, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a strategic meeting with the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, who currently serves as the President of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). The Climate Agenda and Sustainable Development
A central focus of the high-level talks was the global environmental trajectory. The Head of State specifically highlighted the critical work of the GGGI, which assists developing nations in making the vital transition toward a “green economy” model.
According to President Tokayev, this framework rests on three fundamental pillars:

Beyond ecological initiatives, Tokayev and Ban Ki-moon delved into pressing issues of global geopolitics. A key point of their discussion was the urgent need to reform the United Nations.
