Seoul — President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has officially arrived in Seoul for a state visit. The trip takes place at the official invitation of the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung, Tiek.kz reports, citing the Akorda press service.
Upon stepping off the plane at the airport in Seoul, the Head of State was officially welcomed by Bae Gyung-hoon, South Korea’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT.
During this state visit, the two leaders are expected to hold high-level negotiations. The agenda will focus on significantly strengthening bilateral cooperation across trade, economic, technological, and cultural-humanitarian sectors.

The arrival in Seoul follows another major international diplomatic engagement. On September 12, President Tokayev was in New Delhi, India, where he participated in the 18th BRICS Summit.
