“I Don’t Care About Your Laws. I’ll Kill Anyone Who Insults the Prophet…”: Poet’s Remarks Spark Online Controversy

The religious remarks of poet Erbol Bykybayev, who became known for his sharp poems about the “Sherzat case,” have sparked heated discussion on social media, Democrat.kz reports.

A voice recording attributed to poet Erbol Bykybayev has circulated on TikTok. In it, he says: “I am ready to be prosecuted, so help me God! Even if I kill such an ignorant person who insults our Prophet and Allah, I would not regret it, brother!

By the name Erbol the poet, I swear to Allah that I am His servant. I don’t care about your presidents, laws or authorities. I care only about Allah, that’s all.”

The person who shared the video said the recording was made during a livestream by Arman Baizhigit, who was discussing religious topics on TikTok.

Social media users have been alarmed by the popular poet’s remarks.

Popular bloggers, meanwhile, have called on the poet to “come to his senses” and urged him to calm down.
