Three Awards in Shanghai: Kazakhstani Schoolchildren Win Prizes at Prestigious Robotics Tournament

Young robotics enthusiasts from Kazakhstan have delivered an impressive performance at an international VEX Robotics tournament in China, bringing home two third-place finishes and a special award, reports Tiek.kz.

Competition Scale

The tournament was held from August 24 to 27 in Shanghai’s Lingang area. The major technology competition brought together more than 1,400 children and 150 teams, who competed across eight different categories.

Kazakhstan’s teams competed in the VIQRC middle-school category, which featured 46 teams from different countries.

Results and Winners

After a highly competitive tournament, Kazakhstan’s young robotics teams achieved strong results, adding the following international awards to the country’s record:

  • Team 1771A, comprising Arnur Kairbek, Beknazar Zholtai and Khanzada Kuntugan, took third place. The team also received the special Best Progress Award.

  • Team 1771T, comprising Tamerlan Samyratov, Zhaksymbet Uvaisov and Alinur Kuat, also demonstrated a high level of preparation and secured third place.

The students were coached and prepared for the international competition by robotics trainer Nagashybay Samyratov.
