Astana — The engineering and sapper unit of Kazakhstan’s third national contingent, serving under the United Nations peacekeeping mission on the Golan Heights, is continuing large-scale operations to clear the region of explosive ordnance, Tiek.kz reports.

Since the start of the peacekeeping rotation in May 2026, Kazakh servicemen have demonstrated exceptional operational efficiency. Over this period, the sappers have conducted more than 15 specialized demining and ammunition disposal operations.
